We have lots of free, fun fonts on our alphabets page. Our alphabet with animals is always popular. Other playful fonts include our alphabet with eyes and some colorful letters and numbers. We also have lots of holiday theme letters. There are some festive Christmas letters here and here. Scary Halloween letters here and here. There are even some turkey letters for Thanksgiving here. Park your kid on your lap and scroll through all the free letters and numbers, they'll find something they like. After you’ve picked the style you like, download each of the letters to a folder on your hard drive. If you need help saving the files, see our Instructions to Save Images.
You can move the letters around on the page for variety if you’d like. Get your child to help. Leave an extra wide margin on the left hand side so you can staple the pages together. Once you have all 26 letters on their own pages, print your book out using heavy construction paper. You can staple the pages together, or use a hole punch to make a couple holes, then tie the pages together with brightly colored yarn. Put kid, book and pencil or crayon together and have them write out all the things they see that begin with each letter. Or, if you need to keep two or more kids busy, make it a game. First one to find 5, 10 or 100 objects beginning with each letter is the winner. When your child has filled all the pages, ship the book off straight to Grandma. |
