Gettysburg National Military Park
Gettysburg National Military Park commorates the Battle of Gettysburg, fought just outside of Gettysburg, PA. The Battle of Gettysburg was the largest battle of the Civil War. Over 51,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or captured between July 1 and July 3, 1863. President Abe Lincoln dedicated The Soldiers' National Cemetery at Gettysburg with the Gettysburg Address. Gettysburg National Park is a memorial to the armies that fought the battle and houses over 1,400 monuments, markers and memorials.
