Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park, located in the Sierra Nevada of California includes a spectacular tract of mountain-and-valley scenery Set aside as a national park in 1890, the Yosemite National Park has waterfalls, meadows, and forests that include the famous giant sequoias, the world's largest living things. Yosemite National Park includes Yosemite Valley, with its high cliffs and waterfalls; Glacier Point's, open during the summer and fall, with a tremdous view of Yosemite Valley and the high country; Wawona's history center and historic hotel; the Mariposa Grove, which contains hundreds of ancient giant sequoias; Tuolumne Meadows, also open during the summer and fall, offers a large subalpine meadow surrounded by mountain peaks; and Hetch Hetchy, a reservoir in a valley considered a twin of Yosemite Valley.
