Zion National Park
Zion National Park is located in Springdale, UT, in the southeast part of the state. Named for the ancient Hebrew word meaning a place of refuge or sanctuary, Zion has 229 square miles of beautiful canyons and cliff. The park is at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin and Mojave Desert provinces and is home to a variety of plant and animal life.
